HOW IT WORKS
The Kett 94Ai portable handheld friction meter is the world's first of it's kind. Battery operated, the unit is placed on the part to be tested. When the start button is pressed, a precision voice coil motor tries to push the test plate. Force is increased over time. When the test plate begins to move (overcoming static friction), the system calculates the reactive force and computes the coefficient of static friction us. Tests take less than thirty seconds. The integrated averaging function allows for rapid determination of the average coefficient of friction on the most heterogeneous materials.The flexible design allows for different measurement surfaces and contours to be attached, allowing simulation of most test surface interfaces. A three-year warranty is standard. The Kett H37 3D Muse expands this capability to applications that are not horizontal such as inclined ramps, walls, rails and roller surfaces

The H94ai is the third version of our portable friction analyzer. The H94 will provide a coefficient of static friction measurement in less than 5 seconds.
Values are shown to 0.001 and can be automatically averaged to simplify assessment. Optional AC adapter and data output provide an instrument that can be used in the field and in the laboratory.
The ability to exchange test fixtures allows the H94 to be used on solid/solid interfaces, solid/liquid interfaces and to simulate the interaction of multiple surface materials by simply swapping the fixture.

H37 - 3D Muse Portable Friction Analyzer
Our newest portable friction analyzer, the H37 allows testing to be conducted on almost any surface and in almost any environment.
In addition to horizontal surfaces that can be tested with the H94, the H37 may be operated in vertical and slanted surfaces, opening the opportunity to evaluate many in-situ locations previously incapable of being measured without moving the sample to the lab.
Battery powered, the H37 will perform over 1000 measurements without battery recharging or replacement.
